Ann Arbor Dumpster Sizes
Find the Right Size Dumpster for Your Project in Ann Arbor, MI
Finding the right size before your project starts is one of the most important steps when starting construction. Go too small and you’re stuck mid-project with an overflowing container and no good options. Go too big and you’ve paid for capacity you never used and are taking up unnecessary space on your property. At Ann Arbor Dumpster Rentals we make it easy for in-the-area homeowners and contractors to choose the right dumpster from the start, with upfront dumpster prices, driveway friendly delivery, and zero secret charges.
We carry a full range of available dumpster dimensions to cover everything from a quick weekend cleanout to a major construction project. Here’s what we offer and what each size is built for.
Available Dumpster Sizes
10 Yard — Best for Small Projects
The 10 yard is our smallest container and a great fit for lighter residential projects. Single room remodels, small attic cleanouts, light yard debris, backyard cleanups, home cleanouts and all other small/short-term jobs are all right in its wheelhouse. It’s driveway friendly and holds roughly three pickup truck loads of material, (which is more than you’d think). In most cases you won’t need a permit for the 10-yarder if it’s on your private property.
15 Yard — Great for Mid-Size Cleanouts
Although not as common, it is a step up from the 10 yarder for garage cleanouts, small roofing tear-offs, and moderate landscaping work. If your project feels too big for a 10 but you’re not sure you need a 20, this is a solid middle ground that won’t break the budget. We have spoken with clients in the past who wish can’t figure out the right size, and we’ll help you too.
20 Yard — Our Most Popular Size
The 20 yard is our most popular size and for good reason, it handles the majority of residential projects without overshooting on capacity. Kitchen and bathroom renovations, estate cleanouts, tile installation, deck tear-downs, and larger projects that generate a mix of debris all fit comfortably in this container. If you’re not sure what size you need, the 20 yard is almost always the right call for a mid-size home project. We receive so many orders for 20-yard sumpters that we decided to spend big on increasing our inventory of 20-yarders so don’t worry, we’ll have what you need.
30 Yard — Great for Large Renovations
When the job involves multiple rooms, significant demolition, or heavy debris including concrete, brick, and dirt, the 30 yard is where most serious renovators and contractors land. It holds roughly nine pickup truck loads of material and is built to handle heavy materials without issue. A go-to for full home gut jobs and large roofing projects throughout the area. Some of our biggest clients prefer the 30-yarder because it gives them more container space than the 20 and doesn’t take up the whole lot.
40 Yard — Best for Major Construction
Our largest available dumpster. Designed for major commercial projects, large scale demolition, and high volume job sites where capacity is the priority. If your project is going to be heavily reliant on dumpster space to complete the job over an extended period, this is the right container for the job. Be sure to check vertical clearance at your location before delivery, our team will confirm this with you during booking. We have had orders in the past where the 40-yarder didn’t fit on the lot or on the road. If you call, we’ll make sure that you qualify for a 40-yarder, and once you do, you’ll have all the space you need!
